The Senior group is a competitive swimming group. For Senior swimmers, focus continues to be on improving times and qualifying for faster meets. Senior swimmers will participate in championship meets, including state, regional, to national meets. Senior swimmers work on a longer training cycle, with bigger drops in time as a the goal. Weightlifting, dry land, and other conditioning is mandatory.

Senior swimmers are also often competing for their high school teams, and many are being recruited by college programs to swim. Several Blue Dolfin Senior swimmers will also qualify to compete at the Olympic Trials.
